Iberia passengers can now use WhatsApp to check-in to their flights and receive boarding passes and flight notifications.
Starting this summer WhatsApp will become another way that Iberia services its customers.
Using telephone number (from a cellphone): + 34 676 67 60 04, passengers can: check in, access a boarding pass, and receive flight updates. This includes domestic flights, many European destinations, and select long-haul routes (Chile, Peru, Uruguay). Soon there will be ability to pay for extras including additional luggage directly. For premium members (Iberia Plus Platinum, Infinita and Infinita Prime), there's even a dedicated WhatsApp channel.
Meanwhile, Iberia's website and app have received a makeover. A “smarter” search engine, interactive maps, and clearer travel document information is set to streamline the planning process. New seat maps and the ability to freely change your seat within the same class will also be available.
