New DoubleTree opens in Christchurch
Hilton has added opened its second DoubleTree hotel in New Zealand following the addition of Chateau on the Park Hotel in Christchurch.
Chateau on the Park a DoubleTree by Hilton is located adjacent to Hagley Park, within walking distance of the Christchurch Botanic Gardens and a short drive from the city centre.
Set amongst
five acres
of gardens, the 192-room hotel has recently undergone a full refurbishment. Features of the hotel include the Garden Court Brasserie restaurant, the Den
Bar, seven meeting spaces, a business centre, a heated outdoor swimming pool and a fitness room.
“Christchurch’s strong tourism market was the key driver for bringing the brand into the city. We are especially proud for the brand to be represented in the re-emerging city of Christchurch – an important hub for both business travellers and leisure tourism in New Zealand,” said Paul Hutton, Hilton’s vice president of operations for Australasia.
